Educational Philosophy
I believe that education takes place the moment we exist. We are constantly learning whether it is to recognize sounds, manipulate tools, dissect elements of language and culture, marvel at technology, or discover revelations through history. We are constantly learning in our personal, educational, and professional lives.
As we learn, we become gatherers of knowledge. Through life experiences we build and share that knowledge. Therefore I believe that when we have something constructive to offer another person, we become a ‘teacher’. It is the presentation, facilitation, opportunity, and potential that creates the teachable moments.
Within each of us lives a learner and a teacher. It is now my quest to learn more and hone my skills formally as a teacher so that I may make the best out of the ‘teachable moments’ with those around me.
